Keynote Speakers!!!!

Friday Night Speaker!

Caroll Michels is a career coach, artist-advocate, and author of How to Survive & Prosper as an Artist. Selling Yourself without Selling your Soul (Henry Holt & Company, New York). A 6th revised edition was published in June 2009. Excerpts from her book are presented on this Web site.

She is also the founder of the Artist Help NetworkSM a free online resource designed to assist artists in locating information on a comprehensive range of career-related topics.

Max Howard has accepted our request as Keynote speaker for Saturday morning. Notice – he has already added Ringling to his webpage! http://www.maxhoward.net/index.html


Max was formerly president of Warner Bros. Feature Animation and senior vice president of Disney Feature Animation. During his twelve years at Disney, Howard was one of the senior architects of that company's animation renaissance. He has collaborated on such animation successes as "Who Framed Roger Rabbit," "The Little Mermaid," "Beauty and the Beast," "Aladdin," "Pocahontas" and "The Lion King." At Warner Bros., Max oversaw the award-winning animated feature "The Iron Giant" and the international hit "Space Jam." Most recently he was an Executive Producer on "Spirit, Stallion of the Cimarron" for DreamWorks.

Next Step Career Conference Save the Date!

The NEXT STEP Career Conference (for Ringling College students) is produced every other year - don't miss it!

This year's program includes: Keynote presentations by Career Coach and Artist-Advocate, Caroll Michels as well as, a special guest speaker yet to be announced! Check back for the NEWS!

There will be numerous "ROUNDTABLE" Discussion groups for informal talks with artist/professionals. Four different "BREAKOUT" sessions to choose from 4 different topics. Door Prizes and FOOD!
Appetizers, Continental Breakfast and Lunch is included.
